Who we are

Nordica Product Reviews is a Shopify app made by Variegata Nordica (Mallory Berthomé). It collects and shows product reviews for a store. Questions about this policy or your data: hello@nordica-apps.com.

What the app stores

• Your store’s address and Shopify access, so the app can open in your Shopify admin.
• Reviews: stars, title, text, photos, the reviewer’s name (shown as first name and initial), country if given, and email address. The email is never shown on the store; it is used to mark verified buyers, to answer data requests and to stop emails on request. The store’s language the review was written in, so any email about it is in that language.
• Questions about a product: the question, the name given and, if given, the email address, used only to say when the store has answered.
• Review requests, only if the store turns them on: the order number, the buyer’s email address, first name and the products ordered. The email address and name are deleted 45 days later.
• Your settings: the look of your reviews, moderation and email choices.
• Messages you send with “Contact support” or “Suggest an improvement”, and technical error reports.

Who processes the data

Cloudflare hosts the app, its database and the review photos, and sends the review-request emails, under Cloudflare’s data processing terms. Shopify provides the product and order data and handles billing. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.

How long it is kept

Reviews are kept until the store deletes them or uninstalls the app. A customer can ask the store to delete their reviews; the app deletes them, photos included, when Shopify passes the request on. When a store uninstalls, its sign-in data is deleted at once; 48 hours later every review, photo and setting is deleted.
